Renon has launched its larger capacity swappable battery platform called Banner for electric three-wheelers including e-loaders and e-autos. According to the company’s statement, Banner can connect to the Lithium Ferro-Phosphate (LFP) battery packs for e-vehicles (EVs) and is smartly devised for a prolific performance.
Available in a 4kWh to 12kWh configuration, the platform hosts several smart features including Battery Management System (BMS) with CAN2.0 (Controlled Area Network), 3C-rated LPF cells, AIS-156 compliant with paralleling string protection, Analytics On for SoH estimations, special materials for cell breathing and Zero CapeX designs for customisations.
“The world-class technology diligently used in the creation of Banner will transcend the performance of lithium-ion batteries to the next level. Eminent features like BMS with CAN2.0, customisable Zero CapeX designs, configuration of 48V 258AH etc. were meticulously devised to impart longevity in services to the targeted 3EVs,” said Aditya Vikram, director at Renon India.
Founded in 2019. Renon India recently launched Groot, a lithium-ion battery pack for low and medium-speed EVs. The thermally optimised battery packs have a nominal voltage of 57.6 V and a rated energy of 2.04 kWh. Additionally, it features a smart configurable battery management system. Groot is equipped with a display for SOC and SOH algorithms for reliable data collection and range estimation. The Surat-based company is aiming to achieve over 350 MWh manufacturing line capacity milestones in the future. It also eyes to develop a production technology that can manufacture more than 3,000 packs a month.
Renon currently focusing on generating Rs 40 crore in revenue by the end of this financial year.
