Startup Odisha, an initiative of the MSME Department of the Government of Odisha, has completed the first cohort of the pre-incubation program. The programme aimed to empower and equip emerging entrepreneurs with the necessary skills, knowledge and resources to transform their ideas into successful ventures.
The programme witnessed the participation of 23 entrepreneurs completing training and mentorship curriculum. Nine of them showcased their innovative ideas and three start-ups were selected to receive comprehensive support from Startup Odisha for their growth.
The body also announced strategic partnerships with Technolplat Ltd, Wadhwani Foundation, and Her Money Talks. These partnerships are poised to strengthen the startup ecosystem in Odisha, bringing invaluable expertise, global networks, and access to capital.
Startup Odisha recently roped the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) in to manage the Odisha Start-Up Growth Fund.
Omkar Rai, the Executive Chairman of Startup Odisha, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaborations, stating, "We are delighted to join forces with Technolplat Ltd, Wadhwani Foundation, and Her Money Talks. These partnerships will foster an environment of innovation and provide invaluable support to our budding entrepreneurs.
