Multi-brand electric vehicle (EV) platform BLive has joined hands with Alliance University under its 'Green Campus' program to deploy 15 electric cycles on the university campus on a pay-per-use model.
The partnership aims to provide the university’s students and staff with pocket-friendly, eco-friendly and convenient electric mobility options to achieve its target of promoting 100 per cent clean mobility in the country. Also, by entering the collaboration with BLive, Alliance University has become Bengaluru's first private university to implement the 'Green Campus' program for its students and staff.
To make it convenient for students and staff to use electric cycles, two docking stations will be set up on the university campus. To start a ride, students will have to scan a QR code using the Chartered Bike app from the Play Store/app.
After completing the ride, they will be required to dock the e-cycle back at the designated station. BLive, along with its fleet partner Chartered Bike, will conduct training sessions and orientation programs to familiarize students with the operation, safety measures, and maintenance requirements of the e-cycles, ensuring their seamless and safe usage.
Commenting on the collaboration, Samarth Kholkar, CEO and co-founder of BLive, said, "We are glad to partner with Alliance University as this collaboration will help us showcase the benefits of adopting electric mobility to students and encourage them to adopt sustainable solutions for a better future. This step initiative will make it easier for students and staff to move around the campus quickly and conveniently.”
"This partnership also highlights our shared commitment to sustainability and will serve as a model for businesses and educational institutions to foster meaningful collaboration and create a positive impact on the planet," he added.
