OLL raised Rs 30 lakh from Peyush Bansal and Vinita Singh
New Delhi-based edtech start-up OLL (Online Live Learning) is all set to offer free skill development training to one lakh underprivileged students and contribute to their bright futures.
“We are offering five courses – Public Speaking, Personality Development, Vedic Math, Resume Building, and Python Coding to the underprivileged for two months. The classes will be conducted online through our portal,” the company said in a statement.
It claimed that it has connected with 36,000 students across India by using technology as an integrator. OLL has also partnered with nearly 200 teachers to assist the students with skills in technology, finance, robotics, fintech, coding, public speaking, and courses in various languages.
The edtech recently raised Rs 30 lakh in a seed funding round from two Shark Tank India judges, Lenskart founder Peyush Bansal and Sugar Cosmetics' co-founder Vinita Singh. Since its inception, it has raised Rs 1.23 crore, bagging investments from Gaurav VK Singhvi, Neeraj Tyagi, Bhawna Bhatnagar, Sandeep Balaji, Monica Gupta and other investors.
Speaking on the latest initiative, Shreyaan Daga, the co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of OLL, said, "Today's work market is primarily driven by technical skills and constant up-grading of these abilities, for further growth and progress in career. Considering the cost of living is going high post-Covid, we have decided to reach out to 1 lakh underprivileged for a free education plan and provide them a choice of courses in technology, the arts, languages, life skills, etc. We have chosen 100 specific courses to help them be job ready.”
